As part of his second trip to China since taking office, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the business metropolis of Shanghai on April 15. At a round table, he exchanged views with representatives of German companies in China on economic cooperation between the two countries. Jie Xiang, President of Brose China, was one of the round table participants and emphasized the automotive supplier's confidence in the local market.

During the exchange, Jie Xiang gave the Chancellor an insight into the development of the China activities of the family-owned company Brose, which has been active in the country for around 30 years. The conversation also covered the current situation in the local automotive industry as well as opportunities and challenges for German companies in China.

China is not only the world's largest automotive market, but also a global driver of innovation. In the future, we will continue to expand our local development expertise and competitiveness. We want to provide important impulses for the transformation of the automotive industry with innovative products and a high speed of adaptation, emphasized Xiang, underlining Brose's long-term commitment to the Chinese market.
