University study with in depth practical experience
The Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts has sponsored the Hochschule Bayern e.V. Project for secondary education in Bavaria since 2006. Brose and the Coburg University of Applied Sciences have been cooperation partners since the program’s inception. Brose wants to enable students with select specializations to obtain advanced qualifications through practical experience. This is why the operational portion of the program is almost double that of the standard requirement for internships.

Basic information on university study with in-depth practical experience (Dual-track studies)
How many courses does Brose offer?Brose cooperates with the Coburg University of Applied Sciences on the concept within the scope of the Bachelor of Automotive Technology and Management and Electrical Engineering and Information Technology programs.
The program’s theoretical and practical components are perfectly coordinated: switching between university study and practical work in the company is systematic – both during the semester and the breaks for more in-depth insight into the day-to-day work you’ll be performing the future. Standard academic structures don’t even come close to bringing you the practical experience you will gain here.
Despite all of these advantages, the entire course of study including your Bachelor’s thesis is just seven semesters. You graduate from the program with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. We offer you comprehensive support, both with your project thesis here at Brose and your Bachelor’s thesis.
What qualifications are required? You have either completed your higher secondary education and are qualified to attend a university or university of applied sciences or have demonstrated your ability to participate in the dual studies program.
Our trainers will guide you during your course of study, especially when working on seminar, project and Bachelor’s theses here at Brose. They will also help you plan a stay abroad at one of our many international locations.
Once everything is prepared to transition to full-time employment, we will work with you to determine your field of specialty even before you complete your degree – bearing your personal abilities, skills and goals in mind.
Of course, we also expect you to be interested in working in technology or business. Naturally, we expect the same qualities from you that we wish to see in all Brose employees: team spirit, ambition, pleasure in sharing success and enjoyment of responsibility are attributes that will have a positive impact on your career at Brose.
Will I be paid by Brose? As a Brose student in the dual-track studies program, you will receive a training allowance. This will ensure you remain financially independent and can concentrate on your studies.
What are the deadlines? The university is located in Coburg; the Brose apprenticeship component can be completed in Coburg or Hallstadt near Bamberg.
Apprenticeship training always starts on October 1.
How to apply at Brose? Please apply only online and submit documents in PDF format. In each course description you will find a direct link to the online application form on the last page.
Who will answer questions beforehand?Do you have any questions before you submit your application? Our apprenticeship and training manager Mr. Stammberger is happy to assist you. Simply send an email to ausbildung@brose.com or call him and his team at +49 (0)9561 21-1287.
