Your Job Specification

  • Responsibility for the management of specific projects during the project lifetime including a liability for the project's material cost, quality and timing
  • Creation / adoption of project-specific purchasing concepts together with the project management
  • Conduction of RfX and evaluation of the quotes considering the specified requirements and complying with the purchasing strategies
  • Preparation and conduction of (pre-)negotiations with suppliers
  • Preparation and presentation of supplier choice for the decision meeting
  • Coordination of technical meetings (feasibility study / concepts / etc.) with suppliers, including the necessary technical functions (Quality / Design / Tool Technology)
  • Responsible for the organization and execution of progress reviews with suppliers to ensure the internal production start
  • Responsible for the definition of target costs and taking the corresponding purchasing strategies into account
  • Evaluation of supplier performance within the project according to the specified SAP rating system
  • Continuous identification of cost reduction measures and implementation of these while complying to the defined project and department objectives as well as the general purchasing strategies
  • Initiates and records cost avoidances during launch timeframe
  • Continuous demand planning (short, mid and long-term) and verification for the assigned projects
  • Involvement and participation in annual price negotiations
  • Provides support to production in regards to change management coordination of technical changes of purchased parts and implementation of economical improvements

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business related field
  • 3-5 years working experience
  • Personal / social competencies: Communication skills, decision making ability, power of conviction, ability to work under pressure
  • Methodical competencies: Negotiation skills, presentation skills, project management skills
  • Functional competencies: Legal aspects in purchasing, financial accounting, FS, FMEA, technical understanding, specific product know-how
  • IT skills: MS Office, SAP
  • Team skills: solution oriented and open for change, acts reasonable and reliable, creates an atmosphere of trust, keeping commitments
